In 2010 our 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with a Spindle Cell Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma. This is not something that any parent wishes to hear. For three years Emma fought bravely but unfortunately lost her battle just after her 13th birthday.
For those who knew Emma, knew that everything she did in life was to help others and to make people laugh. With that in mind Stuart and I decided that the best way to honour Emma and to help other families going through this horrid journey was to organise the Emma Love Childhood Cancer Charity to raise awareness of childhood cancer and also to raise money for Charities.
2015 saw us host our inaugural event which raised in excess of $25,000 for CCS and the Garven Research Institute. This figure far exceeded our expectations and we could not have done it without the room full of amazing generous people who attended. We were also very lucky to have incredible sponsors who donated vouchers, gifts, their time and so much more. 2016 promises to be just as wonderful so don't forget to keep Friday 19th August free for a fun filled afternoon.
